Extraterrestrials Could Have Been Spying on Earth and Humans for Years

According to a controversial thesis of a well-known American scientist, these are their reasons.

An American scientist has generated a real controversy behind his theory about the presence of extraterrestrials near the Earth. We are talking about James Benford, an American physicist who claims that extraterrestrials have been observing our planet for millions of years through 'spy' probes installed in the large rocky bodies surrounding the globe.

According to this scientist's theory, the Earth is surrounded by coorbital objects that follow a route around the Sun very similar to ours. These bodies have been discovered and identified not long ago, but they would have already been located by extraterrestrials many years ago. So, these rocks would be "an ideal way" to observe our planet in secret.

Spying on the evolution of terrestrial civilization

Benford believes that  the probes located in these space rocks would be waiting for terrestrial civilization to evolve technologically so that extraterrestrials could contact us to "engage in a real-time conversation".

In addition, the scientist points out that these 'spy' probes would only respond to terrestrial signals according to the degree of interest of their creators. Benford suggests to use radio or optical telescopes and to send a probe from Earth to these space rocks, in order to confirm this theory.

The American physicist relies on this theory from the conclusions made by the people who are part of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) programs. But Benford's idea is not new: in 1960, the radio physicist Ronald Bracewell, already stated the possibility that extraterrestrials with much more advanced technologies than ours had installed observation probes in space to detect other forms of life.
